No Relation With Straps, But Let Me Show You a Great Speaker For A Champ Clone

Firstly, let me show you a Champ clone that I have. I had made a new cabinet for fit a 10 inch speaker.

I have put several speakers inside: some Jensens, the C10N, C10Q, the alnico P10R, and also a Celestion Gold G10.
For me, the better speaker for this amp and my musical preferences, was the Jensen P10R. Even more than The Celestion Gold. Both ceramic Jensens, I did not like for this amp. So during a long time the Champ was fitted with the P10R.

Just One Day I Was Thinking About Fit a Old Alnico Radio Speaker For The Champ

I Remembered to read sometimes about to put an old alnico radio speaker in a low wattage amp, such as the Champ.

Then, I founded the possibility. Well, I have found two old alnico speakers. A 8 inches speaker, really a radio speaker, and another 10 inches speaker. The Ten is for Hi-fi music equipments, but I have tried It with a Princeton and still sounds very good for guitar.

The 8 inches radio speaker is already singing¡¡¡ Sounds amazing. I like It a lot. It is a Roselson brand speaker. Roselson is an old company that nowadays don't exist.
Was located in Centelles, in Osona county. Around 40 km. far from Barcelona. It is a small town where I Lived my first childhood.
The Roselson company was making musical equipments and radios. They started in the late 50s and developed the activity during the 60s and 70s.

Just my two cents about use old radio alnico speakers: get them a chance. These are low wattage speakers and I feel that most of these speakers can sound great in a Champ. At least I like a lot this old Roselson.

Just Thinking In A 2x10 Cabinet, Also For The Champ 

After try the 8 inches speakers, I found too, two 10 inches alnico speakers, also from Roselson. But these are probably from the 70s, newers than the radio speaker. Besides these are for music Hi-fi equipments. But I am just thinking in use making a 2x10 cabinet. This is a just a future project.
