Can I customize my Pardo guitar strap?

Yes! You can choose your favorite strap model and then customize it with a variety of options. You'll be able to select the material and color for the backing, the color of the leather ends, and the finish for the hardware.

Each product listing has photos and information to help you see all the available options. If you don't see a backing color you like, just contact us and we can make it for you.

Will my strap damage my guitar's finish?

This question doesn't have a simple yes or no answer. Guitars with thick, durable finishes generally won't have any issues, but it's important to be careful with guitars that have a delicate finish, such as a thin nitrocellulose finish on many Gibson or Fender guitars.

There are many situations where a finish can get damaged. To be safe, it's always best to store your guitar in its hard case. We can also make your guitar strap with plastic parts instead of metal parts. If you're concerned, you can also ask us to create a custom, non-adjustable strap without metal parts. This will ensure nothing on the strap can compromise your guitar's finish.

A standard strap with metal parts always poses a risk to a guitar's finish. If you have a "relic" guitar, you might not be concerned, but it's something to keep in mind.

Can I use the strap with an acoustic guitar?

Yes, but your guitar needs strap buttons to attach the strap. At a minimum, you will need a strap button on the bottom of the guitar.

You will also need an accessory to attach the strap to the guitar's neck, a guitar strap tie, which we will have available soon.

Can I use my Pardo strap with larger strap locks, like Schaller?

Yes, but you should contact us first so we can make the holes the right size for your strap locks. Our standard strap hole size is 8mm, which works for most standard strap buttons.

However, we have many customers who need bigger holes for strap locks like Schaller, and we can do that for you at no extra charge. Just contact us and let us know what you need!
